You may be shocked to learn that 1 out of 4 children in rural America are living in poverty. Many of them face food insecurity or live in food deserts where fresh fruit and vegetables don’t exist. Many more face racial inequity. Still more don’t have access to educational materials or the Internet. And while the Coronavirus pandemic hasn’t caused any of the issues faced by these families, it’s very likely to make them worse.
